The Operation
A. The unit automatically starts when you turn it on. It activates the igniter rod and the auger will load the wood pellets into the firebox at the same time the draft induction fan begins supplying air into it. For the first four minutes the igniter's light will be red hot that is sufficient for setting the pellets on fire.
B. There are 2 types of temperature controller. The first is the manual control that has 3 settings: smoke, medium and high; and the second is the digital thermostat control that allows you to set a particular temperature and automatically adds wood pellets to retain the temperature. Also, when starting and stopping the auger motor the electronic microprocessor controls the smoke and heat.
C. When the device is on, the auger and draft induction fan works constantly. There are some holes inside the firebox where air enters. Also, there is a heat shield located at the upper part of the firebox where the initial heat diffusion occurs. The heat is distributed from the center to the side of the firebox while the steel drip tray serves as secondary area for heat diffusion wherein heat is distributed from front to rear of the cooking chamber. This proper heat sharing and division cooks the food evenly.
